Harry Muir
Chatham-Kent Barnstormers' organization is proud to introduce baseball lifer and former Toronto Blue Jays minor leaguer Harry Muir as our first ever General Manager. From London, Muir spent four years in the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system during their heyday of title runs in the early ’90s. He also etched his name in the Canadian baseball history books by becoming the first Canadian to throw a no-hitter in international play.

From London, Muir spent four years in the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system during their heyday of title runs in the early ’90s. He also etched his name in the Canadian baseball history books by becoming the first Canadian to throw a no-hitter in international play.
Muir won a gold medal representing Team Ontario at the Canadian Nationals in Trois Rivieres with Team Ontario in 1990. Later that summer, Muir was selected to join Team Canada and traveled to Cuba for the World Junior Championships. In his first start, Muir would throw that historic first-ever no-hitter by a Canadian in international play.
The following spring, Muir would travel to Florida, after being signed by the Toronto Blue Jays as a Canadian free agent directly out of high school. He would spend the next four years in their minor league system. While a member of the St. Catharines Blue Jays, Harry was featured in an award-winning documentary produced by CBC television titled, Chasing the Dream. In 1995, Muir found himself in Montpellier, France playing for the Barracudas of the French Premier League. He went undefeated, won another national championship and captured Import Pitcher of the Year honours.
Upon returning to Ontario, Harry had a brief stint with the London Majors of the IBL as a player before switching his focus to coaching for the team. Muir also spent 12 years managing and coaching in the London Tecumsehs organization helping to grow youth players passion for the game.
Recently, Harry helped launch POSI (Purpose of Sport Initiative), an organization to promote and support the growth of positive character and culture in sport.

Gil Rondon
Gil pitched for the Houston Astros and the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1976-1979.

Following his playing career, he became a coach in numerous MLB organizations as well as Indy clubs such as; Toronto Blue Jays, New-York Mets, Trois-Rivieres Saints, Empire States Greys.
Rondón was a coach for Puerto Rico during the 2009 World Baseball Classic.
Rondón was announced as the pitching coach for the Bravos de León of the Mexican Baseball League for the 2018 season.

Steve Charles
Steve is a London resident and a long time IBL player. After being a part of the Toronto Blue Jays' organization as a player in the 90s, Steve became a part of their Major League coaching staff. He is a hitting specialist and a player coach. He really focusses on the hitting approach and the mental side of hitting as it is so important to become a good hitter.

Don Menard
Don is a Windsor resident and has been involved for many years in the IBL. Most recently, he managed the Kitchener Panthers. He really knows the inside/out of the league. With over 40 years in coaching, he is really good to teach the game to our younger players.

Greg Kemble
If you don't know, Greg is the player who got the first hit in Chatham-Kent Barnstormers history. Greg Kemble was a veteran presence on the young team in 2024. On Sunday, August 11th in the Game of the Year against the Guelph Royals, "Grandpa" was behind the dish for 11 of the 12 innings with 4 putouts. Kemble was also 1-2, an RBI, 2 HBP, SAC FLY and reached base on an error to help lead the Barnstormers to a 7-6 victory.

Dr. Colin Goudreau
Born and raised in Chatham-Kent. Colin resides in CK. He is an Indian Creek and John McGregor alumni. Studied at the University of Windsor (B. Hk Hons M.S). Co-op placements in physio/chiro. Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Doctor of Chiropractic and owner of Goudreau Chiropractic since 2013.

Melina Long
Melina has been working with various clients for over two decades to help them improving their psychological skills which improve their personal attributes. She is helping our players to find methods to focus and to reach their highest potential of play.

Brian "Benny" Bennett
Brian was born in Chatham. As a youngster Brian was an active participant in Chatham Minor Hockey and Minor Baseball as well as becoming an enthusiastic golfer by the age of 12. During his high school career he was a member of the legendary John McGregror High School football program. He was a two time winner of the Robinson/Bruette trophy for dedication to sports at JMSS.
Brian was born in Chatham. As a youngster Brian was an active participant in Chatham Minor Hockey and Minor Baseball as well as becoming an enthusiastic golfer by the age of 12. In 1978 his love of athletics steered him towards his current vocation as the Facility Operator at Chatham’s Memorial Arena. This in turn led him to his association with the Maroons. Starting as an assistant trainer for the Chatham Micmacs Hockey Club he then took on the same job with the professional Chatham Wheels Hockey Club during its stay in the city. In 1996 he became the head trainer for the Junior Maroons and has been there ever since. He is now the Barnstormers' Equipment Manager.
Brian is one to stay actively involved in various sports such as the Maple City Slo-Pitch League and the Chatham Maroon Old-Timers Hockey Team. But he is also a strong member of groups such as the Jr. Maroon Executive, Chatham Wish Hall of Fame, Friends of Rotary Park and Fergie Jenkins Field, Friends of JayCee Tyke Parkand the JMSS Football Alumni.
His many contributions and much hard work has been recognized by organizations such as Chatham Figure Skating Club, Chatham Minor Baseball, Chatham Girls Fastball, Maple City SloPitch and the Maroon Old-Timers.

Marc Germain
Compiling over 60 years of player development, Marc is a well-known baseball legend in Quebec. He has trained, coached and scout players who have reached the MLB like Tony Marrabella, Raymondo Callari and LHP Denis Boucher. His experience is huge for our French-Canadian players.

Kelly Sage
Kelly is especially known as the “Canadian baseball card guy.” His involvement in baseball from a few decades helps the team to find talented players from Saskatchewan.

Jason Makarus
Jason has been involved with coaching and player development within Baseball Alberta since 2005, having attended multiple Provincial and National championships at various levels. He is passionate about skill development and talent identification and is extremely excited to be a part of the Chatham-Kent IBL Organization.

Derek Brandow
After spending 3 years at Oklahoma State University, and setting numerous strikeouts records for the team, he signed a professional contract with the Toronto Blue Jays and went on to play from 1992-1998. Also played in the Venezuelan and Australian leagues where he broke the single season strikeout record with 103 K’s in 72 innings, and setting the new record of 126. He also played in the IBL for the legendary London Majors. Following his playing time, he started coaching and teaching the youth through Derek’s Better Baseball academy.

Bernie "Arnold" Morrobel
Arnold is a long-time reupdated instructor in the Dominican Republic. He trained and developed many current MLB players. He also played for the famous Los Tigres del Licey of the Dominican Winter League.

Hiroshi Shimauchi
Born in Fukuoka. A member of the Koshien Tournament champions in high school. In college, the top 8 of the national tournament, mainly as a closer. After that, played in corporate baseball, then moved to Canada, played in Canada's first professional baseball league, the Canadian Baseball League, and then played in Australia and the United States. Now works as an advisor to a long-established Japanese baseball maker.
