The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers are proud to announce the return of left-handed reliever Catalin "Cat" Morin for the 2026 season.
Entering his third year in Chatham-Kent, Cat continues to be an important piece of the Barnstormers bullpen, bringing a dependable left-handed presence and the ability to shut down tough situations late in games.
Morin showed flashes of dominance throughout 2025 and, outside of two difficult outings, posted an impressive 2.41 ERA and 1.13 WHIP across his other 11 appearances. Dating back to 2024, the 25-year-old has already compiled 3 wins, a save and 21 strikeouts in just over 20 innings of work.
And when it came to facing the eventual champion Welland Jackfish… Cat was at his best.
Across three appearances against Welland in July, Morin tossed 7.2 shutout innings, allowed just five hits, didn’t issue a single walk and even retired 11 straight batters during one dominant stretch. His performances earned him Player of the Game honours and helped prove he can thrive against the league’s best.
Welcome back to the Barnstormers, Cat!
