Right-handed pitcher Konsta Kurikka joins the roster

From Finland to Fergie, the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers are elated to announce the signing of right-handed pitcher Konsta Kurikka.

Hailing from Juva, Finland, Kurikka brings an impressive international résumé and electric stuff to Chatham-Kent. The 6’2”, 200-pound righty has already competed around the world, including stops with the Adelaide Giants of the Australian Baseball League and the Karachi Monarchs of the United League in Dubai.

A key member of Finland’s National Team, Kurikka is also pursuing an even bigger goal - helping Finland qualify for the World Baseball Classic.

And the arsenal? It’s nasty.

With a fastball that touches 94 MPH and a splitter that falls straight off the table, Kurikka gives manager Dom Dinelle another high-powered weapon for the 2026 season.
