Fan favourite Mitsuki Fukuda is back for the 2026 season.
The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers are ecstatic to announce the return of fan favourite Mitsuki Fukuda for the 2026 season.
And Barn Nation already knows… this is a big one.
Over the past two seasons, Fukuda has built one of the most impressive résumés in the league: a true two-way force behind the plate and in the batter’s box. A two-time South All-Star and 2025 2nd Team CBL All-Star, Mitsuki a.k.a. Mickey has been nothing short of elite.
Defensively, he’s been a problem for anyone thinking about running. A record-setting 20 caught stealings and 30 assists? That’s not just good, that’s game-changing.
At the plate, he’s been just as dangerous. Through two seasons with the Barnstormers, Fukuda owns 80 hits, a .323 batting average, and a .406 on-base percentage - production you can count on every single night.
And in 2025, he capped it all off by taking home the Ed Pinnance Award as the Barnstormers’ Most Outstanding Player.
Of course… it didn’t take long for Mickey to make his mark last season.
Opening Day.
Two runners on.
First swing of the year.
Fukuda absolutely launched one of the longest home runs ever seen at Fergie Jenkins Field, powering the Barnstormers to a 9–1 win over the Kitchener Panthers and earning Player of the Game honours.
Big moments.
Big bat.
Big-time presence.
Welcome back to the Barn, Mickey! おかえり!
