Chatham-Kent Barnstormers have acquired versatile infielder Thomas Green

The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers have acquired versatile infielder Thomas Green from the Welland Jackfish in exchange for cash considerations.
Fresh off celebrating a CBL/IBL Championship with Welland, the newly 26-year-old arrives in the Maple City bringing experience, a strong glove and a winning pedigree.
Green’s baseball journey has already taken him across several high-level leagues: from collegiate summer circuits in Texas, the West Coast, and the Sunflower League, to NCAA stops with the Oakland Golden Grizzlies and the Purdue Boilermakers, before gaining professional experience with Aigles de Trois-Rivières in the Frontier League and time in both the American Association and Pioneer League.
When he joined Welland just before last season’s transaction deadline, Green quickly made his presence felt. Slotted right into the starting lineup, the 6’0”, 175-pound infielder reached base in 11 of 12 regular season games, producing 14 runs, 7 RBIs and 2 home runs while posting a .345 OBP and .736 OPS.
A steady defender with championship experience and a proven ability to get on base, Green adds another valuable piece to the Barnstormers roster as Opening Day approaches.
Barn Nation, get ready to welcome a new face to Fergie Jenkins Field.
Welcome to Chatham-Kent, Thomas!
