2026 Bill Atkinson Community Involvement Award

𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐀𝐭𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝: Named in honour of Barnstormers Team Ambassador, former Montreal Expos pitcher, lifelong Chatham resident and longtime minor baseball coach Bill Atkinson, this new annual award recognizes Barnstormers who go above and beyond to make a difference in our community.
And our inaugural recipients certainly went above and beyond. From supporting local charities and community events to dressing up as hot dogs at a BBQ and even letting snakes crawl all over them at the animal shelter, they were always willing to show up, pitch in and put a few smiles on faces along the way!
